Accessibility Statement

Susan Lê Spa, Massage is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated here as part of the service, not an afterthought.

Conformance status

This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the standard referenced by U.S. Department of Justice guidance under the Americans with Disabilities Act and by California state accessibility policy.

We consider this site to be substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Substantially conformant" means the site meets the standard across its own content, with the known exceptions listed below in Known Limitations.

What we have done

Specific measures taken in the design and build of this site:

• Colour contrast. Every text and background pairing was measured. Body and interface text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio; borders, controls and state indicators meet or exceed 3:1.
• Full keyboard operation. Every link, button and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. The pressure selector supports arrow keys, Home and End. There are no keyboard traps.
• Visible focus. A high-contrast focus outline appears on every interactive element, and is never removed.
• Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first item on every page, letting keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation.
• Semantic structure. Landmarks, a single H1 per page and a logical heading order let assistive technology navigate by structure. Prices are marked up as real data tables with captions and column headers.
• Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Not colour alone. No information is conveyed by colour by itself. The pressure selector always states the level and the modality in words.
• Live updates announced. Content that changes in place is announced politely to screen readers rather than changing silently.
• Reduced motion. All animation is disabled automatically for visitors whose device requests reduced motion.
• Zoom and reflow. Content reflows to a single column and stays readable at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom, without horizontal scrolling.
• Touch targets. Interactive controls are at least 48 by 48 pixels.
• Plain language. Prices, travel fees, payment methods and the cancellation policy are stated directly, without jargon.

Technical specifications

Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The site is built to work with current versions of major browsers and with assistive technologies including screen readers and speech recognition software. Core content — prices, contact details, location and policies — remains readable if JavaScript is unavailable.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. These are components supplied by third parties, which we do not control:

• Embedded Google Map. The interactive map on the Visit section is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. The full street address is always given as plain text next to it, and a standard directions link is provided, so no information is available only inside the map.
• Online booking calendar. Appointment scheduling is handled by Calendly, a third-party service. If any part of the booking process presents a barrier, call or text (916) 915-4149 and Susan will book the appointment for you directly.
• Membership checkout. Membership payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party service. If the checkout page presents a barrier, contact us and we will arrange the membership another way.

In every case above, an equivalent option is available by phone or text. No service offered by Susan Lê Spa is available only through an inaccessible third-party tool.

Alternative ways to book

If any part of this website does not work for you, you never have to use it to become a client:

• Call or text (916) 915-4149 to book, reschedule, ask about pressure levels, or arrange payment.
• Ask for mobile service — Susan travels to you, free within 15 miles of the studio.
• Request prices, policies or directions to be read to you over the phone.

Assessment approach

Accessibility of this site was evaluated through a self-assessment carried out during design and build, combining automated testing against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria with manual keyboard-only navigation, contrast measurement of every colour pairing, and review of the page structure as exposed to assistive technology.

This statement is provided in the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act. If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, or the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing / Civil Rights Department.

We would much rather hear from you first and fix the problem.
